Rachel's Personality

Rachel loves to have crazy outfits and awesome facial expressions.  Here are the many pictures of Rachel in the last couple of months.
It was 70 degrees outside and this silly girl has long sleeves on and her winter hat.
While shopping she found this hat that she was totally in love with.
 Another outfit
This was just before Scott got home from work.  Yep she stayed in her PJ's all day long and wouldn't take a bath.  When she gets home from school or us running errands she puts her PJ's on and hang out in them all day long.

Texas Roadhouse

So while we were in Pocatello we hooked up with Bonnie to eat dinner at Texas Roadhouse.  It was kids night and since Rachel was the 1st kid to show up after an hour and a half of them being open she got spoiled.
The balloon guy was the 1st one to show up and she told him that she wanted a monkey.  So she got a monkey in a tree.  So totally cool.  After that the lady with toys showed up and she ended up getting one of everything they have.  She got a compass, a flashlight and some dominoes.
The fine thing she got was her face painted.  She wanted to be a lion and they didn't have enough paint so they just painted her one side of her face but it looks pretty cool.  She had a fun night being spoiled and I enjoyed my time catching up with Bonnie.

Playing in the Snow

We headed over to Pocatello so that Scott could interview for a job at Portneuf Medical Center.  So we dropped Scott off there and Rachel really wanted to go find some snow to play in.  I was going to look around for a place to live.  We eventually ended up at the ball diamond that the church owns on booth road.  Here is Rachel playing in the snow.  She liked throwing snow balls at me.  The snow was really really wet.
 Thumbs up for the snow.
Running and making all the feet prints in the completely untouch snow.
The next few are of her making snowballs.

Here is one of her snowballs.  I didn't really have winter clothes for her and so she just made due with what we had.We played there for about 1/2 an hour before it was time to go pick up Scott.

Final Activity for Spring Break

Saturday we decided we would do our final activity for spring break.  Rachel had seen my fondue set that I have in the cupboard and she was like what is that.  When I told her about it and how you do it she started bugging me to do it.  Well I got a coupon for the Melting Pot where kids get to eat for free during this week.  So we headed out to the Melting Pot for lunch.  There was only another group there when we got there.  Rachel had the biggest smile on her face through the whole thing.
She was so excited about these "swords".
 Scott eating the cheese fondue.
Rachel's first bite of cheese fondue.  This was so much fun for her. Who doesn't like playing with their food.
 Oh the salad was delicious.
Each of us cooking our main course of meats.  Rachel was cool with having to wait and cook the 1st one but after that it was taking to long for her.  We just dumped several pieces of meat in at one time so that there were lots cooking together and then used the rescue spoon to get them out.  We even took some of this home because we wanted to make sure we saved room for dessert.
Scott got the Melting pot signature dish and I got the Meat lovers plate.  Mine had teriyaki chicken, filet Mignon, and sirloin. Scott had shrimp, BBQ Pork, chicken, filet Mignon, and sirloin.
And the final course.  Chocolate fondue.  YUMMY!  Rachel really loved getting to dunk the strawberries.  It was so fun and for it taking two hours Rachel was a rock star.  After the restaurant we then headed to the Idaho Aqurium.  She earned it as her reward for keeping her panties dry for 7 days.
Playing in the 1st tank as you walk in the door.  She loves the water and was completely drenched by the time we left there.
 The Iguana.
Yes she was touching this lizard.
This was where she could play with the starfish, crabs and whatever else was in this display.  We just let her play until she was drenched and then we headed home.  We had a fun spring break.

Cleaning the Church

It was our month to clean the church.  Today we were doing a deep clean of the church along with an outside service project.  There was not a clear time to go and so we showed up at 8:30 and went about cleaning the windows.  Here is Rachel helping to clean the church.
Yep mom let's me stay in my PJ's because it's not worth fighting over to get her dressed and out the door to get there on time to help.

Spring Break 2014

The last day of preschool Rachel's class had a quick show for the parents.  I actually had forgotten about it but showed up just in time to catch it all.  They ended up singing three songs for us.  They sang Mr. Sun, In the Spring, and another one I can't remember.
The whole group singing.
It's always funny watching them because you never know who's actually paying attention and singing and who's wiggling and doing their own thing.
We had planned to go to Yellowstone for a few days but Scott ended up not being able to get the days off because there were already providers gone and also they gave him on call that whole week.  So on Wednesday of that week Rachel and I headed out for lunch since we were out running errands.  We decided to eat at On the Border.
Selfies along with her chips.  She loves chips and salsa like her mom.
The sundae she got at the end of the meal.  Of course the cherry got eaten 1st thing.  She loves them.
Another activity we did was we went to Pojo's to play and have dinner.  I had a gift certificate so we got to have dinner there and play the games.
She had this many tokens left after we ordered our food.
This was the ride she picked while we were waiting for our food to cook.  She loves this ride and even started to pretend she was swinging a lasso and was a real cowgirl.
She loves the rides you ride.
This was a miniature bowling game.  She loved it.
 Riding again
Scott took a few tokens and went to the shooting game.  He was here for awhile.
 Riding the carousel.
This was one of the favorite games this time.  It gave lots of tickets and we had fun doing it over and over.  I did take a token and go spin a wheel and won 250 tickets on one spin.  It was awesome.  We all got to be able to have some prizes from the prize area.  Rachel picked a green spiking ball and Scott and I shared a king size Twix.  It was fun to have a staycation and spend time together.

Princess Day

Dance class was Princess Day.  That meant they all got to wear their princess dresses.  Rachel wore her Sleeping Beauty dress but pretends it's her Elsa dress (Frozen).  Yes I would love to get her a Frozen dress but I can't find one anywhere.  The teacher had decorated her dance studio walls with this princess decor.  It was so cute.  Here is her class all dressed as Princess'

St. Patrick's Day 2014

I'm not really into the St. Patrick's day festivities but I try to do something so Rachel gets to do some celebrating.  So we got up and had a green breakfast.
 Green Eggs
The outfits we both had on today so we wouldn't get pinched.  ha ha ha
Then for lunch we had green macaroni's.

A Girls Bathroom

We found this shower curtain at Walmart the other day on clearance and decided it was time to change up our bathroom decor since it is Rachel's bathroom.  She loves it so much.

Kindergarten Registration

Today was registration for Rachel at Christine Donnell.  She was so excited to go over there.  We got checked in and then went to the eye check station.  After that we went over to see the teachers.  Rachel was trying to climb up on the chair and totally took a nose dive off and so she cried a little bit but I think she was more embarrassed then anything else.  Once we finally got her over her embarrassment she answered all the questions the teachers had.  We went to talk to the lady from the Ada County Library and they actually gave Rachel a book about going to Kindergarten.  Here is her Kindergarten registration picture.

Winco Field Trip

This month's field trip for Montessori was a trip to Winco to learn about the different food groups.
Rachel posing with her hat on and waiting for the rest of the group to show up.
Walking into the bakery and smelling all the bread that is being baked.
Now into the really cold freezer.  It's so huge.  The kids were surprised by how big it is.
 Our selfie.
In the dairy fridge. They go through 80 racks of milk a day on the 1st day of the month.  We then got to go to the delivery area and see where the trucks drop off and where they break down all the boxes.
At the seafood counter.  All the kids putting gloves on so they can hold the seafood items.
Getting ready to hold the squid.
Holding the crayfish.  She actually ended up holding all the different items they allowed the kids to hold.  She loved it.
The last place we got to go into was the fruit staging area.  So much fruit waiting to be put on the shelves.  After that they gave all the kids a cookie and then we were able to go home.  It was a cool field trip and fun to see everything that happens in a grocery store.

1st High School Basketball Game

So it was boys state basketball here in Boise.  Century was playing for the championship and so I really wanted to go watch it.  We headed out to the Idaho Center.  Rachel asked, "So how to I cheer for the teams?"  I told her to just yell go.  That was all she needed to hear.  She started cheering GO GO GO over and over and over again.  I was like you are cheering for the wrong team.  She didn't care she was just happy to be able to scream while in a building.  We ended up staying long enough to watch Capital High play in the 5A championship because one of the kids that is on the team is in our ward.  We left at half time because Rachel couldn't handle sitting there any longer.
