1. Learned in Preschool the letters V, W X
2. This month the imaginary friends have increase. We used to just have "friend". Now friend has changed her name to Raka. Raka also has a friend named Maddy and Maddy has a boyfriend Hawk n Louie. It's so funny to listen to her conversations with them. The worst though is when she is disciplining them for being bad and I totally hear myself coming out in her.
3. Every day she eats pizza for lunch. Never fails when I ask her what she wants for lunch it's Pizza.
4. She has had to learn how to wash her cloths because she's going through so many pairs of panties and pants that we have to do laundry about once a week right now.
5. Loves books without pictures just words in them.
6. Asks me almost every day if she can go see our neighbors. They have cats and they allow her to run around their house chasing the cats. She wants a cat but we just told her she could go to the neighbors and play with theirs.
7. She loves to go on walks only if it includes going through the new houses that are being built in the neighborhood.
Rachelism's
We were driving on the freeway and the sun was shining into Rachel's eyes.
Rachel: Mom I need this blanket up in the window.
Mom: We won't be on the freeway long. Just move your head into the shadow.
Rachel: It's in my eyes I hope I don't get a sunburn.
Mom: Yeah your right I hope you don't get a sunburn. ha ha ha
Rachel: Mom I'm scratching the itch out of my bum.
While I was putting fertilizer on the lawn:
Mom: Rachel go back in the house while I'm putting these chemicals on the lawn.
Rachel: As she sits down on the little tramp says: Mom don't worry I know what I'm doing.
Rachel and I walked over to my Scout Committee Meeting and then we walked back. I actually hauled her on my shoulders on the way back because she was totally gawking and not paying attention. When we got home she came up to me while I was cooking dinner and this was the following conversation:
Rachel: Mom my feet hurt.
Mom: I said they do?
Rachel: Yeah they do.
Dad: Rachel come sit down on the couch for a little bit to give your feet a rest.
Rachel: Okay
Dad: Do you want me to give you a foot massage?
Rachel: Yeah dad.
Scott then starts to massage her feet with his hands.
Rachel: Dad no you have to use the machine.
Dad: Well it's upstairs so can I just use lotion and massage your feet with my hands?
Rachel: No I will just go get the massager from upstairs.
The girls was not up for a lotion foot massage from her dad. Guess we should go get pedi's or something so she can learn how good a lotion foot massage really is.

Fun Dip
Rachel went to a birthday party yesterday and came home with a bag full of goodies. Well one of the goodies was a blue fun dip. I told her she could eat it after she eat her breakfast. I also made her eat it up at the table but that didn't help with the mess that she made. Here are the after pictures.
Yep everything is colored. I think she missed her mouth a few times. ha ha ha
Yes that is fun dip even on her PJ's. She had it everywhere. I was just glad it didn't stain anything.

Rachel's Own Purchase
I laugh because Rachel is into books that have no pictures right now. She totally pretends that she is reading them. Well we were doing Family Home Evening the other day and I put in the primary song CD and picked up my music book to sing with. She was so mad that she had to share the song book and so she asked if she could have her own. I told her if she wanted to go buy one she could. So we raided her piggy bank because the girl has more money then we do here in the house and headed to Deseret Book. We walked back to where they would be and she was able to pick it out quickly. I didn't even see them before she did. We went up to the check out and she did the whole thing herself. It was so cute to watch. I wished I had gotten pictures of that. Maybe next time she decides there is something she can't live without.
The songbook she wanted. It's just her size.
Showing her receipt to prove she bought it. I don't know why she kept doing all these funny faces on all the pictures. So this was the best I could get from her. She was tired of my picture taking and just wanted to look through her book.

Kite Flying Day
We have had some really good days to fly kites lately and so the other day I came home and this is what I saw.
Scott and Rachel out in the front of the house trying to fly her kite.
Well they decided the wind was whipping to badly through the houses and so I took them to the park down the street so they could fly her kite.
Scott holding it so Rachel could try to get it up. It wasn't working that good.
The park is definitely a lot easier to get the kite up in the air. She was really good about getting it up also. She did this all by herself.
Scott asked me if I knew if it was tied on at the end. I was like I have no idea. So he hurried over to make sure it was tied on because she was letting the string out as quickly as she could. Yep it was tied to the handle.
This is a princess kite. It has Snow White on the left and Aerial on the Right. She really likes this kite.
Excited about her kite flying experience.
What do you do when kites just stay up there in the wind?? Yep you sit on your bum and just hold the handle. The wind will do everything else. She did this for about 15 minutes and then came over to me and Scott and said I'm done and handed us her kite. We attempted to teach her how to wind it back up but she was having nothing to do with it. So we got the pleasure of winding it up. All and all it was a fun 1st experience and the kite was great. Guess it's worth paying a little more than the dollar at the dollar store for a good kite.

Practicing Basketball
Rachel was so excited when we were able to get this free basketball from RCWilley. She pretty much took it as her own. I was fine with that. So I took her out back and showed her how to dribble it. She's not bad at it either. I think I have a future basketball player. Unless she grows she's going to have to be a great point guard because she will be to short to play any other position.
The ball is almost the same size as she is.
Practicing dribbling. She wants to play basketball now. I think she will have to be a little bit older before they have a league for her to be in.

Easter 2013
This year since I was doing the community Easter Egg Hunt I kind of was behind the curve most of the time.
On Saturday before Easter we ended up having our community Easter egg hunt at the clubhouse. I had to be there early to set up. Scott was in charge of getting Rachel there but needless to say they were late getting there so they missed her age group. Rachel remembered she had forgotten her basket and so Scott turned around to get it and that's why they were late. We weren't to worried about it since Krista took some of her son's eggs out of his basket and let Rachel pick them up. We also knew we would be doing an egg hunt tomorrow on Easter.
Scott had to go to work Saturday night and all the sudden I was like oh we haven't dyed any eggs yet. So I put the eggs on to cook and then Rachel and I dyed the eggs.
We decided to try the cool aid colored eggs. Rachel only wanted to have purple. It doesn't really look purple it looked black. So crazy she didn't want to try any other colors. I said I would do orange just to give us a different color.
She did really well today not making to much of a mess.
Letting the eggs dry.
Having fun doing the eggs. Totally love her smile in this picture.
Our little colored eggs.
Easter Bunny came. I love that he doesn't forget Mom and Dad. :-)
This is what the yard looked like before we woke Rachel up. Scott had to work again and so Rachel and I stayed home from sacrament meeting so we could do this with Scott. So here are the eggs all over the yard. The Easter Bunny hid all the presents in some crazy places today.
Pocahontas I and II movie.
Bike hidden behind the lid of her sand box.
Galoshes for playing in the rain.
This one is a little harder to see but there is a big red Dr. Seuss book on the table and a new princess kite hanging on the BBQ.
We woke up her and before she could go outside she saw what the Easter Bunny left inside. Doesn't she look so cute in her hat. I love it.
She had to have a peep before she went outside to see what was out there. I took a video and will see if it will upload to the blog. She was so cute when she saw her bike.
Here is the video from outside:

Back inside with all her eggs so we can open them and see what's in them. Scott and I had to help her pick them up because she was to busy looking for present she didn't care about the eggs.
Bowl full of peanut butter eggs and jellybeans along with a bowl of money for her piggy bank.
The loot she got from the Easter Bunny.
She got a bike, golashes, kite, Dr. Seuss book. movie, a Minnie Mouse T-shirt, a Belle T-shirt, a new hat, candy, money, peeps and chocolate marshmellow eggs.
She also got a present from Grandma and Grandpa Schaffer. It's a Sid the Science kid Easter movie and
a chocolate Easter bunny.
After we got back from church and eat some lunch I let Rachel go outside to ride her bike. She had a little bit of trouble figuring it out but she finally got it. She also knows she has to wear her helmet with it and has been really good about putting it on when she rides.
