February Accomplishments

1.  Letters learned in Preschool this month:  R, S, and T
2.  Learned the song: On top of Spaghetti, and Dinah blow your horn.
3.  Went to the Dr. twice this month.  1st to get antibiotics for her congestion.  She had an allergic reaction to amoxicillan so we only made it through 7 days of it before we stopped it.  The 2nd visit was four days later because it was her 4 year old appt.  They couldn't do both at the same time.  She told Dr. Miller she didn't want toothpicks(the swabs for strep throat).  Dr. Miller was a little confused until I told her what she meant and she was like oh yeah we aren't going to do that but we will be doing shots.  I got to hold her down when she got the shots and she screamed bloody murder.  When we were done she was like I don't like pokies either from the Dr.  I don't know if she will ever go back to the doctor's office without being hesitant.
4.  She turned 4 this month.
5.  Finally became friends with Cameron about two days before he was leaving our home.  They even started playing nice with each other before he left.
6.  Favorite movie this month is Worthy is the Lamb(A Living Scripture Movie)  She has learned so much about Christ's crucifixion and really ask some interesting questions.  She's keeping me on my toes with this.
7.  Loves cutting up paper and gluing it together.
8.  Got really sick this month to where she threw up mucus and her couch got so bad.  Then she ended up one day having a stomach flu of some kind and kept throwing up.  It was shocking because after each time she was just perfectly fine and then would want something to eat and a few hours later it would come back up.  Was about a 24 hour bug and then she was fine.

Rachelism's:
Mom:  Okay Rachel hold my hand the wind is blowing and you might blow away.
Rachel:  No I won't mom
Mom:  Why not?
Rachel:  Because I have shoes on.

"R" starts with me.

Mom: Yes Rachel
Rachel:  You go to a girl doctor.  Daddy goes to a boy doctor.  I go to a girl doctor and Cameron goes to a boy doctor.
If it was just that simple. :-)

Just Kid'n Around

Well I needed to find something to do with the kids today and so I decided since I had some coupons for Just Kid'n Around and we have never been there, today was a great day to try it out.  It was a great place to go.  It wasn't a crappy weather day so it was pretty busy but the kids had lots of fun.  They even have a place to buy lunch for the kids.  I had actually packed a lunch but it said you weren't able to bring in outside food but I did bring in snacks for them because I definitely didn't want to have to pay their prices for snacks.  So here they are having some fun.

Rachel size playground. She climbed all over this thing.

Dressed up and climbing up the rock sculpture.

Cameron loved the grocery carts from the play grocery store.  He played with it almost the whole time and if anyone tried to take it away he wasn't having it.

Rachel of course found herself a friend.  She played with this girl for quite a while.  She totally loved this slide though and even took out a boy who tried to climb up it the wrong way.  Served him right because she even moved to a different slide not to hit him but he moved to her slide just as she was coming down.  We had two great hours playing before we had to go meet a friend.

Valentine's Day

Well it was a pretty normal day.  Cameron went off to Daycare but they had a PJ party.  I got him a new pair of Elmo pajamas just for it.  He didn't want to go and that totally sucked having the worker practically pry him from me.  They had a valentines party there also so the kids got totally hyped up on sugar.  Rachel and myself ended up at clinic.  She had a rough day at clinic.  It started out okay but by the end I had to put her in the car and let her do her exercises to try and calm her down.  Eventually I sent a text to Scott and told him to pick her up on his way home from clinicals.  She didn't go to bed early last night and so she was tired and really grumpy.  No more staying up till 10 o'clock anymore.  We got home and my friend Shanda Jackson showed up to give the kids a valentine's.  I was shocked she did that but it was really nice.
She got them each a little hat and Cameron's actually came with gloves.
We then had our dinner.  I was going to actually try and do a really nice dinner with decorations but with the time crunch we were under I wasn't going to be able to do it.  (I had my first City Volleyball game tonight and had to leave at 7:45) It doesn't help either that when Cameron comes home from day care he is starving and wants to eat.  After dinner we let them open their presents.  Grandma Tracy and Grandpa Pooh sent hearts with chocolate in them.
Seeing their chocolate and wanting to open them of course.  I had to cut off the candy from them both.
We then opened the presents that Papa and Memaw brought over yesterday.
 Cameron opening his.

Rachel's got her's open also.
Next they opened up the gifts we gave them.  Yes they ended up with gifts because when we went through all the stuff I had bought for Rachel over the last year we had so much we needed to spread it out over all the holidays and so she got gifts on Valentine's Day also.
 Going through her bag.

Cameron didn't really care what was in his bag.  He just wanted to carry around his basket and his bag instead.
 Cameron's Loot

Rachel's Loot

Of course Rachel and I decided to get Scott something for Valentine's also.  I had to laugh when Scott said to me last night, "You didn't buy me a Valentine's did you?"  I just told him maybe and he was like does that mean I need to go get you something.  I was like no and went to get our present for him.
This is an Angry Bird sugar cookie.  Rachel wanted to get the Spongebob square pants and I was able to talk her out of it since Scott's not into Spongebob.  I just have to say this was the softest melt in your mouth sugar cookie I've ever had.  Oh it was so good.  We split it as our Valentine's gift together.

Rachel Turns 4

Today is Rachel's Birthday.  I can't believe she is four already.  It feels just like yesterday we got her.  Scott's got an extremely busy schedule so we decided it wasn't worth trying to fit in a birthday party for her this year.  We decided to have a very small birthday party for her.  I decided we should probably make it a little bit more special since she's been a little bit bent out of shape having Cameron around.  So I decorated her room.
Outside of her room door.

I heard her get up and so I hurried upstairs and I heard her saying, "Oh my there are so many balloons.  Look at all these balloons."  That was totally worth it.  She was so excited.

Coming out of her room through the streamers.

I know that other people do donuts for breakfast on birthdays and so I decided that would be a great idea.  I jumped in the car and headed down to Paul's market to get us all donuts.  She was so excited.  It also gave her the chance to practice blowing out her candles.  She ended up having to go to Preschool today on her birthday also.
This is her outfit she wore today.  I wasn't about to fight her.  Everyone knows how strong willed she is and isn't surprised at what she shows up in anymore.  I ended up taking sugar cookies for the kids to have for her birthday treat.

For Dinner we ended up having steak, mash potatoes and mandarin oranges.  This is what she chose to have for her birthday dinner.  I thought it was funny but she really is a steak lover lately and eats really well when we do have it.  After dinner we had her Skype with Grandpa Pooh and Grandma Tracy so they could see her opening their present.  Needless to say it was kind of chaotic because her and Cameron were fighting over everything that she would open up.  After that Stan and Linda showed up at 7:00.  Just before we started to open presents Rachel was standing on the kitchen table chairs and I don't know if she slipped or jumped off the chair but she landed on our black stool with her eye.  Yep she ended up with a black eye on her birthday.  After we got her calmed down and ice on her eye we were then able to open the rest of the presents.

She wanted a Rapunzel cake again.  I was so impressed with how the cake decorator at Paul's made this cake.  It was awesome.

The hair went totally off the cake and onto the bottom of the box.    She loved it.

All her loot that she got. from everyone.
It was a happy birthday and I'm so glad she made it to 4 years old.  Hopefully we make it to 5.  ;-)

Playing Together

Today was the 1st day that Cameron and Rachel actually played well together.  I was so happy.  We've had to actually use rewards for Rachel because she was being so mean to him and taking anything and everything away from him.  So I actually took pictures so I could remember that they did get along for a little while.
 Cameron found Rachel's toy train.

Sharing.  Yes it's a miracle.

Sword Fighting with Daddy

Rachel wanted to play the Wii which she doesn't play very often but Scott had let her play bowling.  She gets bored with that really quickly.  Well we decided to let her try out some of the other games.  She's horrible at Mario Kart and just goes around in a circle so she didn't want to keep playing that one either.  Scott found the sword fighting on one of our games.  We decided that might be easier for her.  She really got into it.  Scott didn't know what hit him the first game because she knocked him off so fast.  This is the video I got of her swording fighting with her Daddy.  Watch all the way to the end because what she does after she hits him into the water is so funny.

Letter R

At Preschool this week they learned about the letter R.  So you know what that means.  Rachel starts with R.  She was so excited it was her week.  They ended up making a really cute craft this week to go along with the letter R.
 Racquet, Rain, Raccoon, Robot, Rabbit

Isn't this the cutest little craft Robot. She's very proud of this and hides it from Cameron so he won't ruin it.

All the preschool kids with their robots.  So cute.  Look how short Rachel is.  So funny.

Charter Pointe Easter Egg Hunt Preparations

Yes I know it's only February and I haven't celebrated Rachel's birthday or Valentines day and I am talking about Easter but I had some down time and decided I better figure out how much candy I need to buy to finish filling our eggs for the community Easter Egg Hunt.  So I took two bins of eggs and one box of candy over to Angela Borzea's house and they got them finished in one day.  I was like sweet.  Well one night I ended up sitting down and doing the other box of candy.  I was able to get all the candy I had stuffed into the eggs that I had.

I'm not sure if we actually have enough eggs but we will see as we keep stuffing eggs.  I have to wait until the 16th to call Winco for the jelly beans just so we can see which jelly beans are cheaper (ie.  Regular vs. Easter).
