I always laugh when I got into Rachel's room and this is what I find. Every stuffed animal that she owns is in bed with her.

Starlight Mountain Theatre
I found a discount on Groupon for Scott and I to go to a summer musical of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. I was so excited because it was outside in Garden Valley. I had heard about this mountain theatre and had wanted to go; so when I saw they were putting on my favorite play, I ordered the tickets.
We got there at 7:30 thinking that's when the show started up that was actually the time it opened for people to start showing up. So we were one of the 1st ones in our seats.

We were happy to be hanging out, together on a date.
This is the backdrop. Isn't it gorgeous.
The side view of the theatre. What a gorgeous scenery to spend the night in.
This guy here who is bald was one of the funniest actors in this show. He was making us laugh so hard. He was also selling hot dogs during intermission. He was making smart aleck remarks about the fact that he had three hot dogs left to sell and no one would by them and so they were going to kill him after the show. We were laughing so hard about it.
Intermission hanging and stretching our legs. We thought we would by home by 10:30 but the show didn't even finish until 10:00. So it was after 11:00 before we got home to take our babysitter home. It was a great night and so much fun. Glad we were able to finally get up to Garden Valley to see this show.

Vegas Day 8
Well it's Sunday and Scott had to be to his last day of the conference at 8:00 am again. So we took him and then came back to the condo to get ourselves packed and ready to head home. I did take the time to write an email to Derek because my mom had told me that Derek's new wife Amanda had a nephew at their wedding reception that drowned in the hot tub. I wasn't sure what to say but sent an email anyways. Rachel and I got everything packed and on the cart to go downstairs. It's so awesome to have those carts that you can make it in one trip.
This was us saying goodbye one last time. We had a great week.
Good bye to our little one bedroom suite we had for the week. Rachel just kept saying all week long this is the best vacation ever. I'm so glad she had fun and we did so much.
We got Scott and used our last tickets to the Rio Buffet. We had no clue it would be a brunch buffet. We just figured it was lunch since it was 1:00 when we went. It was so hard to decide what to eat because they had their yummy breakfast and their dinner foods out. We stuffed ourselves and then hit the road to Salt Lake City. We decided since there wasn't much on the road we came to Vegas on we probably should go through Salt Lake and get a hotel there. We were leaving Vegas at 2:00 in the afternoon not 9:00 in the morning like we did when we headed down. So we stayed at the Super 8 out by the airport. It was nice to split up the drive. We also got to eat at the Sconecutter so you know I was excited about that. It was a great week and we did lots of touristy things. I never did get to hook up with Kathy Eroschenko while we were down there but I talked with her a few times. We got home on Monday afternoon and it took awhile to get unpacked. That's definitely the worst part about trips is unpacking and laundry.

Vegas Day 7
Today Scott was gone all day long at classes. Rachel and I did nothing but swim and hang out. When we went to pick up Scott from his conference though I said we are going to go see the Las Vegas Temple. It was a ways out there but I was so glad we went to see it.
The sign out front of the temple.
On a rock with Angel Moroni in the background.
One of the massive palm trees that was on the grounds.
Yes if your a kid this is what you do when you see a grassy hill. Roll Rachel Roll.
I love that this is on all the temples. It was just so peaceful being there. The only regret is not being able to go in there for a session. We went back to the Condo that night and started to get things packed up. We will be leaving tomorrow for Salt Lake City.

Vegas Day 6
Scott had to be to meetings at 8:00 and so we woke up Rachel and got him to class. We came back to the exit where we were staying at and I decided I wanted to see what was at the other end of the road and so we went for a little drive. We got back to the Condo and just hung out for awhile. Rachel decided she wanted to go see the playground and so we checked out the rest of the resort.
The playground. Doesn't she just look adorable in her little hat? I love when she wears it. She's so cute.
This was a gorgeous resort. Just loved the views everywhere.
We ate lunch and then ended up going swimming again. I have a little fish on my hands.
Look at her go.
We had a few hours to wait for Scott to finish and so we just hung out in the Condo. We went and picked up Scott and decided to eat at Planet Hollywood. We thought it would be in the Hotel Planet Hollywood but it wasn't. It was over at Caesar's Palace. We walked through and looked at the shops after we ate dinner. We shared a meal since it was so expensive. We did get this really cool picture of our family together. I was excited it turned out so well.
After dinner we headed to see M&M world. It was pretty cool. We were so bummed though because we got there to late to see the movie. Here are the pics we got from there though.
I loved this hat. So funny.
With the M&M race car.
The M&M Gang
Outside of M&M world
We actually got to see a real M&M :-)

Vegas Day 5
Today Scott decided not to go to the general session meeting and so we went to the Rio Buffet for breakfast. It was so yummy. We loved every bit of it. Rachel even ate really good there and had everyone around us laughing because she was so funny about what there was to eat. We found the chicken fried steak was awesome. I also loved the french toast with strawberries on it. We took Scott to his meeting and Rachel and I went swimming again. We picked up Scott and headed to Mandalay Bay to go to the Shark Reef aquarium. It was awesome and so much fun. Rachel loved the whole thing. The funniest thing was when she was telling us that the piranhas are cute. The worker was trying to explain to her that they could chew her up but she was, "Oh they are so cute". We all laughed.
Entrance into the aquarium
The decor inside was pretty cool.
Me and Rachel with the Kamoda Dragon.
Shark
Fishes
The tunnel through the sharks.
We were so close and just hung out watching for awhile.
This fish was huge. Almost the same size as Rachel.
Playing of course in the sting ray water. She was so mad that they wouldn't come over to her very much.
This is the 1st time I've seen a real sword fish. It was so huge. Awesome!
This was the giant turtle in this tank.
The following video is her talking to the shark and calling him Bruce because he looks like the Bruce from Nemo.

Vegas Day 4
Scott had to be to his meeting by 8:00 and so we woke Rachel up and headed to take Scott to the convention center. Rachel and I got back to the condo and just got ready for the day how ever fast we wanted to. We got our breakfast and then watched some PBS and then got ready to go. I wanted to make it to the outlet mall today to shop. We took pictures of the view that we had everyday.
The trailer park on the back side of the resort. ha ha ha
We were on the 4th floor so Rachel loved to hit the buttons for the elevator every time we went down and came back up.
This is the entrance into the condo. They even had a security guard there you passed each time you came in.
This is our gorgeous view from the balcony. I'm so bummed it's blurry but this is what we saw everyday.
Today we finally were able to go shopping at the outlet mall. Rachel was so awesome while shopping and so I let her decide what she wanted to buy while there. She decided on a Doc McStuffin's doctor kit. This is her coming out of the outlet mall. She wanted to carry it all by herself.
We got back to the Condo and she ripped right into it to play.
Giving Blue Bear a check up. I ended up with lots of check up's also until we brought dad back and he showed her how to use everything.
Checking in the eyes and nose.
Say "Ah"
Checking her heart beat.
Scott learned how to do shots in the knee today at his meetings so he showed her how to do it in the knee.
Daddy's turn for a check up.
Checking his ears.
Now checking his heart rate. Yep she's a little off checking his belly. Ha ha ha
We picked Scott up today at Treasure Island and went to eat at Senor Frog.
Outside waiting to get a table.
Inside the restaurant. It was pretty awesome inside but way expensive.
She was so happy to be able to get this balloon hat.
After we ate we then went out and watched the pirate show. We had been told it has gotten pretty nasty with the women hardly clothed but we wanted to see what it was all about. Yeah after watching it I'm sure glad Rachel doesn't understand what is going on because we won't be doing that again.
This is the pirates boat going down after the women sung and sank it. After the show we headed over to the Mirage. We had 1/2 an hour to wait before the volcano went off.
Our spot on the strip. We had a sweet spot.
Rachel had a whole conversation with this duck. You knew exactly when something was about to happen because all the ducks headed to the other end of the pond.
Here is a shot I got of the volcano erupting. It was fun even though there was this really rude Chinese person who kept trying to butt in front of me and push me up towards the fence. I got a video of it but it takes to long to get to the eruption part I'm not going to put it up on here. After that we headed back to our Condo to hang out and get Rachel to bed.
