Move to Pocatello

We thought the move was going to be seamless but the truck ended up at the dealership the Thursday before and they weren't going to be able to get it fixed until Monday.  Scott had to start work two weeks earlier then we had planned.  The movers ended up not being as efficient as I had hoped. We also broke the tray that the washer goes on when Scott and myself tried to get the washer out of the tray.  One thing after another happened.
Scott had to be in Poky working on the day the movers showed up.  He took Rachel with him when he went to Pocatello on Sunday night.  I got to stay and deal with the movers.  So I was ready for them to be there at 8:00 in the morning.  At 8:30 there still weren't any movers there so I called.  They said oh we have you on the schedule for 9:00.  I was not happy.  They actually ended up not even getting there until 9:45.  I had Cindy Hall and Shanda Jackson show up to help me clean.  I was trying to get everything cleaned out.  Joyce Loveland showed up in the afternoon and I had her vacuum everything for me.  Around 1:00 I had to go out to the dealership and get the truck.  It was finally fixed.  I left Shanda there as my watch over the workers.  I was shocked with how much they got into the truck but I knew they weren't going to be able to get it all in the one truck.  So they had to leave to go get another trailer.  When they showed up with their biggest trailer I was like are you kidding me.  There was going to be no way they were going to get everything in that either.  Needless to say they had to go get one more trailer.  This time we put anything that wouldn't fit in that trailer in the bed of my truck.  Shanda stayed until the bitter end.  Needless to say it was 7:30 when the movers finally loaded up the last trailer and was heading to their shop.  They were going to have to deliver tomorrow.  I hit the road around 8:00 by the time I got the house locked up and all secured.  I was so tired.  We spent the night at Grani's house.
One the next day Tuesday I loaded up the truck with everything that Scott had brought with him and Rachel and my stuff.  We headed to Pocatello.  I dropped Rachel off at my parents house and I went to our rental.  I pulled out my vacuum and ended up cleaning the floor.  For it being carpet cleaned it was still gross.  So the movers where supposed to be at the house around 1:00 / 2:00.  At two I still hadn't herad anything from anyone.  I called the shop and got the head guys cell phone.  He was about an hour and a 1/2 away still.  I was so ticked.  We got hold of the elders quorum here in the new ward.  Come to find it out is my old roommates husband.  She helped get the ball rolling to get some men over here to help us.  The movers showed up around 4:00.  We showed them where things were going to go and then at 5:00 we had about ten guys show up to help move us in.  Needless to say we ended up only have to pay for an hour and a 1/2 of the movers time. That saved us so much money.  I was so grateful for the help that we got.  We decided we love our ward already and we haven't even been to the ward yet but just because they came out in such a group effort it made us feel good.
We have boxes everywhere and no one where put anything.  I still have to decided on more boxes going to the garage and into the extra bedroom.

Dance Recital

Scott's parents, grandparents and my parents came over to Boise to see Rachel's dance recital.  They showed up Friday night and we went out for dinner.  We went to the Black Bear Diner.  It was so good. Rachel had the chocolate chip pancakes and made a complete mess of herself.  She enjoys those chocolate chip pancakes.
Saturday we had the early dance recital time.  We had to be at the church by 9:45. We were all excited.  I was worried if she would actually do her dance or just do her own little thing up there.  (That's normally what she does during class is not pay attention and dances to her own little beat of the drum).  She surprised me with how well she danced and paid attention to what she was supposed to be doing.
Getting her ready to do the ballet dance first.

 Sitting in her seat waiting.

 Everyone sitting and waiting.

This is Mrs. Sheri her dance teacher.  She was so good with Rachel.

In her spot ready for the 1st dance which was the ballet portion.

Her stance to start the dance.  It's actually pretty good form for her.

After the ballet portion she then had to get ready for the tap dance section.  She loved tap because she loved making all the noise with the shoes. She's a very pretty butterfly.  She did so awesome.  She was actually doing the dance with all the rest of the kids and wasn't spinning around when she wasn't supposed to.
Kristin came to see her dance.

 Grandma Tracy and Rachel

 Bop, Rachel & Grani

Grandma Hobbs, Rachel, and Grandpa Hobbs

And of course the proud mom and dad had to get a picture with their little princess.

Here is everyone who came to support Rachel in her 1st dance recital.

Charter Pointe HOA BBQ 2014

This is the last event that I am doing for our HOA before I move.  My parents were actually here helping us pack up everything so we could move.  Lots of people were shocked that I actually was there helping since I was moving.  We had some good help getting everything ready to go. This year we had enough BBQ's and so we were able to keep up with all the people who came.
Our BBQ specialists. They did an awesome job.

We also actually served it because we had enough help in order to serve everyone.  That helped tremendously on getting people quickly out of the line.

Some of the people showing we had a good turn out.

We were able to get the Fire Department to come this year and they brought their truck that could spray.  The kids had so much fun and it was awesome.  It was definitely bitter sweet for me.  It was fun being on the committee to do all these events and sometimes was a lot of work the day of but it was so fun to see the smiles on peoples faces during them.

Looking for the Glass Rock

Rachel lost her glass rock that Grani had given to her.  So this was the scene looking for it.
I can't believe Rachel got her grandma and great grandma on their hands and knees looking for it.
I told them they were nicer than me.  I would have just said tough luck maybe you'll keep track of it better next time.  These two people really love their Rachel.

Preschool Graduation

Yes Rachel did graduate from Preschool.  She was so excited.  My parents were there to see it.  Scott though had to start at the hospital already and so he wasn't able to be there.  We ended up face-timing with him so that he could see her graduating.  We had some intermittent problems with the network so I had to redial several times.
So it started with all the kids singing the Hello song with sign language.  We all stood for the pledge of alliegence.  The kids did their silly alphabet.  It was actually nice to see the whole thing because Rachel likes to stop at the g g gorilla and then she bangs her chest and that's where she stops because she always starts laughing.   They then had all the kids graduating go to the back to get their caps and gowns on.  Rachel was the very last one to walk down the isle.  They sang another song called Off to Kindergarten.  Each kid got an award and Rachel's award was the Most Creative Story Teller.  Not a far reach at all.  She is always telling some kind of story.  They then did a slide show that we all got a copy of.  The kids finished the night by singing Polly Wally Doodle.  It was a great graduation.
Hanging out before the graduation started.

This is the beginning of the school picture with the last day of school picture.  She has definitely grown.  I love the look on her first day of school picture.  What a ham.
My parents with the little graduate.
This is Aubree, one of Rachel's friend.

Her little graduation cap and gown.  So cute in it.

Rachel with her teacher Mrs. Lawson.

This is Crystal.  Rachel's other friend.  She and Rachel got in trouble because they never wanted to work at preschool they just wanted to play at school.

This is the video of the graduates walking.

Last Day of Preschool

Today was Rachel's last day of Montessori Preschool.  I'm not sure she understood what that meant.  She loved going even though I had to talk to the teacher and tell her she needed to make sure Rachel was working and not just goofing off with her friends.  There needed to be more structure for her and when she did that Rachel started trying a lot harder.
Waiting for me to pick her up with her class.

The last time walking out of Mrs. Lawson's classroom.  Bitter Sweet.
