Finally Finished Mud Room

This is the beginning of the project. Just a blank white wall. You can actually see the side of the cabinet that we had moved in but hadn't actually started placing in it in its correct position. The utility cabinets were extremely difficult to get into the house. Scott and I had fun trying to get an 8 foot cabinet in through 6 foot doors.

Scott working away at getting the top cabinets in. This was definitely one of the hardest parts of the project. We had to actually have some help with shelves and paint cans to help keep it up and even. Looked pretty funny but we got it up and straight.

This is the cabinet actually in its spot and you can see the mud sink actually in it's spot.
This picture kind of gives you the view of what it all looks like all together. We got the upper cabinets in and the bench. I'm very happy with the bench. We actually had to do some finagling because they don't make a counter top in the size we needed. So we had to actually cut it to the size of our cabinet and then had to take apart the rest of the counter top to make the back splash. It turned out better than we thought it would. I love it.
Close up of the bench and shoe space.

So I decided to upload a tour of the mud room since the pictures really didn't do it justice. We love all the new storage and I love the fact that the shoes actually have a spot now instead of just piled up in the middle of the floor. Scott likes it because he now has a place to sit to take off his boots.

New Utility Cabinet In Laundry Room

The cabinets are finally in. Yipee!! I'm so excited about all the new cabinets we ordered and had put into the house. Scott and I got the pleasure of getting this cabinet up the stairs. It wasn't very fun but we eventually got it up there without taking any chunks out of the wall. I'm very happy that we actually have a wide staircase and high ceilings or we wouldn't have been able to get this beast up there. I really like it though. We left a little space from the wall because that's where I decided I wanted to be able to hide the ironing board. So it turned out better than I had hoped for. We love it and are excited to fill it up so that we don't have everything hanging out on top of the washer and dryer.

This view is from further back so you can see the whole cabinet.

Best Surprise

So our anniversary was yesterday. Well Scott had told me that we would celebrate it on Tuesday since that was his last day off and he would be working on our anniversary. So unbeknown to me Scott had been working on a plan to get me flowers. (This was something he used to do all the time while we were dating I would just get flowers out of the blue). Yesterday when I got back from running a lunch errand I had a message on my phone from the front office saying that I had a package up front. Well since I've been buying tons of things for work I just figured it was an order I had placed. When I got up there this is what I found. Roses from my wonderful husband with a hand written card saying "A rose for every year!" As you can see there are 5 roses for each year we have been married. It was such a pleasant surprise. When I got home yesterday he came down from the bedroom and I had these gorgeous flowers sitting on the table. He had the biggest grin on his face and he was pretty excited that he was able to pull one over on me without me even knowing. Scott Happy Anniversary and here's to many many more. I love you!

Camping for Memorial Day Weekend

So after the wedding we headed up to Kelly Canyon to go camping with Scott's family. Well it was also Colby's birthday and so we ended up getting to celebrate that on Saturday. Colby is now into transformers big time. That's all he talks about so of course there was a transformer pinata there for the kids to try and break into.

Here is Colby's birthday cake. It's of course a transformer cake. Amber (Scott's Sister) made it.

This is Colby trying to hit the pinata one handed. It was very hard for him to hit it because of the cast that is on his left hand. He gave it his best shots though and had some pretty good hits.

Bryson wasn't quite sure what he was supposed to be doing with the stick. So grandpa had to help him out some.

Kylee had the hang of hitting the pinata. She had some really good hits on the pinata. Unfortunately the pinata was so well put together that Uncle Scott had to hit it to get the candy to come out. (To bad I didn't get a picture of that because it was pretty funny watching him swing with all his might to finally get it to break open).

Here is Colby's toys he got this year for his birthday. The only thing he was really excited about where his transformers that his brother and sister bought for him and the Spiderman Transformer that his parents bought him. Scott and I got him all the cars in the movie "Cars". Grandma and Grandpa bought him an airplane and Jamie's family got him some bubble soap and a new hooded bathrobe.
Well at least the rest of us had fun with his other toys. It was pretty funny because every time Colby would transform the toy from either the truck or the motorcycle he would then come to Scott and say transform him back. So Scott did each one at least 50 times during this camp trip. I asked him what he was going to do when Scott was gone and he said well then I will find the instructions and get them to transform back. It was just so cute and I was laughing so hard. Scott got really goood at getting them both back to the original item in about two minutes. It never failed though Colby would have them Transformed back into the person within minutes so then Scott would have to transform them back into the truck or motorcycle.

Grandma bought some punching balls and so I took my turn at trying to get it blown up. I had it blown up and then did as the instructions said but as soon as I punched it all the air went out of it. We eventually just tied knots in the ends of them. The grown up kids had more fun with them then the kids did.

My Best Friends Wedding

Okay so over the Memorial Holiday my best friend Kristi got married. Kristi and I have been friends ever since we were roommates in Pocatello before I married Scott. Scott and I were able to go up to Saint Anthony for the wedding and festivities. It was quite fun. This is Kristi and myself after the wedding getting our pictures taken together.

What the four of us look like together.

So here is what their car looked like when we were all done decorating it. I think the group of people who helped did a really good job.

This is their reaction to seeing the car. I think Kristi thought it was funny and Doug might be in a little bit of shock. It actually didn't take them as long to clean up the car as we had hoped. Oh well at least we had fun.

MS Walk

So on May 2 we went down to Idaho Falls to Freeman Park to participate in the MS Walk 2009. The park is right along the river and is just so nice. Both Scott's dad and younger sister have been diagnosed with MS and that's why we wanted to participate this year. It was a really nice day. Not to hot and not to cold. Completely unusual for Idaho Falls in May. It was a 3K walk. I ended up seeing some of my old friends from my ward in Pocatello. So I ended up walking with them and catching up with them on everything that was happening in their life and also telling them about what's up with our life in Boise. It was alot of fun. There were some minor injuries as the day went on. I started the day having back spasms through the whole walk. Scott's nephew on he first loop went down a little hill on his bike and lost control and biffed it off his bike. Later that day they found out that he had actually broken his arm right above his wrist. Scott's sister's family decided to keep going even though Kolby had wiped out and on the second lap on that same hill Kylee ended up going down it on her razor scooter and it looked like she was going to make it until the very last when the wheel turned and she wiped out also. She ended up with just some minor scraps on her knee and her elbow. I thought it was going to look worst then it ended up being. Needless to say Amber is saying that next year no one is going to be riding anything with wheels unless it is the kids sitting in the wagon being pulled along the route.
After we finished Scott got a little bit competitive and said that next year he is actually going to try and get some donations and a group of people to participate because there was a group there with about fifty people together participating. He wants to get a huge group of people there and get our own shirts made up for it and everything. So that will be something else for him to add to his plate.

Pocatello Reception

Damian and Tiffany taking pic's with my only grandma that is remaining. Isn't she just a sweety. We love you grandma!!!This is the picture of our whole family. It was a chore to get us all in the picture but I think most everyone is actually smiling. Okay well almost everyone is at least looking at the camera.

Okay so there really isn't much to say except that we had fun being with the nieces and nephews. Most of the pictures from this reception ended up being candid shots after we got the group shots. The kids were just so cute in their matching clothes.

Breanna and Tristanne ( Derek's little Girls)

This is Trenton (Paul's littlest one) trying to eat a cup that had juice in it

Matthew and Jared (Paul's kids) enjoying the refreshments and hamming it up for the camera. We had one of Ashley but I don't think she would have appreciated it on our blog so we will save her the embarrassment. She wasn't looking so thrilled in the shot we got of her.

Damian & Tiffany's Wedding

Okay so on March 20, 2009 my younger brother Damian married his sweetheart Tiffany in the Portland Oregon Temple. It is a gorgeous temple. Damian is the last one of us to get married. This is the newly Married couple coming out of the temple.

The next day we then went to Baker City for their reception. Scott took a few pictures there but not many were taken since most of the neices and nephews on our side weren't there. They will be at the reception the next week. This is our pictures with just the siblings.
I thought I would put this in since it's actually showing how nice Damian was at doing the cake. Way to not make the new wife mad. :-)

I like this picture because it's showing what characters my twin brothers are. Yes I said twins. Can't you tell. It's okay everyone else was really shocked to hear that they were twins also.
