Rachelisms:
While talking to her Grandpa Hobbs she told him:
If you don't know how to plant a garden ask Grandma and if Grandma doesn't know how to plant a garden then call me and I will tell you how you plant a garden.
The other night at prayers
S: So are you going to pray first or me?
R: Well I guess since I really didn't pray last night I better pray first tonight.
While talking to me about moving...
R: mom will you promise me that we won't live in an ugly house.
M: yes Rachel we will not live in an ugly house.
R: pinky swear mom that we can live in a pretty purple and pink house.
M: uh I can't promise that Rachel
R: come on mom pinky swear.

Wild Hair
I ended up putting Rachel's hair in french braids for church. Today when we woke up we had errands we needed to go do and so we didn't have time to get Rachel a bath. I did decide to comb out her hair since part of it had already come out. Here is our final product.
Look at that wild hair. It looks like a lions mane or Tina Turner's.
The back is even bigger. So much hair.

Playing in the Sprinklers
We finally decided to turn on our sprinklers and of course Rachel wanted to run through them. I decided it wasn't worth fighting her. It wasn't very warm either but she loved every minute of it.
Running as fast as she can.
Soaking wet but happy as a clam.

Easter Dress
This year I ended up letting Rachel go with me to look at Easter dresses. We went to Burlington Coat Factory and I wanted to buy several of them. I finally just let Rachel decide because I couldn't and I figured if she picked it out she would wear it with out fights from her.
Doesn't she look so beautiful? She is so adorably cute.
I love this dress and she loves twirling around over and over.
I tried a new hair do and I have to say it looked pretty cute if I do say so myself.
Easter 2014
Easter was so fun this year with Rachel. She really got into picking up eggs and being excited about all the new toys she was going to get. Here are the pictures of our festivities.
The Easter Bunny's antics.
Another present from the Easter Bunny.
Everyone got something from the Easter bunny. He knows that this family loves chocolate covered eggs. The only one who doesn't have them are Scott and he got lots of Reese's.
Getting ready to go see what was left for her from the Easter Bunny.
New Pj's and marshmellows.
Before she was allowed to go outside to see the rest and to do her Easter egg hunt we talked about why we celebrate Easter. I found this on Pinterest about these Resurrection Rolls. This was the 1st time we have done it and this is the finished project before they got cooked. Great object lesson about how Jesus died and then was resurrected and so the tomb was empty.
They were delicious by the way.
Can you tell how excited she is about this?
Going to the biggest present.......
The Easel.
Picking up eggs. She was slow and the Easter Bunny next year is going to do about 1/2 the eggs because it takes her so long to pick them up.
All the goods she got.
This is what was in the eggs. Money and jelly beans

Egg Decorating
This was this years egg dying adventure. Scott was home to help. She bugged me all day to do this but I told her we had to wait until Scott got off work so we could do it as a family.
Daddy and Rachel
Mommy and Rachel
Learning to take them out of the coloring
Finished project.
Charter Pointe Easter Egg Hunt
Today was the Charter Pointe Easter Egg Hunt. I was in charge again this year and we ended up having enough people to show up and help that we were actually finished by 9:00 and just hanging out until 10:00.
The prize table is ready to go.
The fields are all ready to go. Look at all those eggs.
Grandpa Hobbs, Whitney, Rachel, Aubree, and Laurel. These are all of Rachel's friends.
Picking up the eggs and actually getting into picking up the eggs. She did really good this year.
Her stash of eggs. Way to go girl you got a whole basket full.
Opening up all the eggs and seeing what's in them.
No gold coin but lots of candy.
It was a great event and I didn't hear any complaints this year at all. So that is awesome.

Wicked
Well we scored some tickets for Wicked the Musical. We had been looking at getting tickets but when we saw how much they were for the nose bleed we decided we wouldn't do it. I ended up getting an email about tickets being 1/2 off and so we jumped on it at that point. It was a great date night. Scott and I couldn't decided on somewhere fancy to eat so we just headed over to Costa Vida down town and eat there. Oh it was so yummy. We then headed to the Morrison Center but I was completely lost and so I eventually had to get out the phone and mapquest it so we could get to the venue. We got there about 15 minutes early and it was busy out in the foyer but not to bad inside and so we took our seats. We weren't close but as the show went on it wasn't a bad seat.
Our Selfie
The nice lady next to us took our picture for us. So a nice picture of us both.
This is what the screen looked like while we waited. There is a dragon on top and the Emerald city glowing on the map. Such cool effects. When the show was over I was so happy I had gone to it. What a great show. I'm in love with it now.

Moving Back to Pocatello
This is a happy post for us. We are so excited that Scott got a job at Portneuf as a Nurse Practitioner in the Pre-Surgical Department. We had been looking for a job in Poky for awhile because we wanted to get back closer to our families. We are really excited about this. The only bad part about this is Scott has to be to work on June 2nd and Rachel has her last couple of days of class, her dance recital, and her preschool graduation. So Rachel and I will be staying here in Boise while Scott starts working at the hospital. He will be able to stay with his grandparents for a few weeks until we are able to get moved over there.

New Wreath
As we were over in Idaho Falls for conference Kristi and I had a craft weekend. We ended up making the letters Joy and then a wreath. I was excited for the wreath until it came time to work on it. Kristi started it for me and then I had to attempt to finish it. We kept having to go to the store several times because what we thought we had wasn't enough for what we were doing. I eventually got ticked and just handed it back to Kristi and was like you do the burlap part and then I could do the rest. Here is our final product. It turned out pretty cute.

New Doll Bunk Bed
We headed to Kristi's house over conference weekend. Kristi waited until we came over to give Rachel her birthday present. It is such a COOL gift. I ended up helping Kristi make the pillows and the blankets. It was fun to help. This is her reaction to her new gift.
Here are the pictures of her playing with her new bunk bed.
She's got her stuffed animals.
Tucking in her bunny and "Tiny" in their own beds.
One of the blankets for the beds
Up close look at the bunk beds.

February / March Accomplishments
Rachelisms:
M: I love you
R: I love you
M: I love you more
R: I love you more
M: I love you to eternity
R: I love you more than Hot Chocolate
"Mom rub my foot it is wrinkling, oh it hurts oh". This is when it goes to sleep on her.
At the church: They asked what is Crucifixion? She yelled out, "When you get hung on a cross!"
Came into our room one morning not feeling well. She said her stomach hurt. So Scott did an assessment on her to make sure her appendix wasn't having issues. These were some of the following conversations with her.
S: Where does it hurt?
R shows him where it is hurt. Scott then moved to a different area and asked:
S: So does this hurt?
R: Ignoring him
Scott moved to another spot and asked: Does this hurt?
She turned to look at him and said, "I told you where it hurts."
Trying another assessment he pounded on her foot.
S: Does that hurt?
R: Yes that hurts!
S: Where does it hurt?
R: On my foot where you hit me.
Oh my heck she kills me while trying to figure out why she isn't feeling good.
Her new saying this month is: Focus!
At Montessori her jobs have been: Line Leader, Caboose, fish feeder, Substitute(was able to do the Theme for someone who was absent), the Patriot(Meaning she starts them for the pledge of allegiance), Theme Expert.
Went to her 1st real basketball game. It was a high school game but it was still her 1st. She was so funny because she kept asking, How do you cheer at a basketball game? Eventually she just screamed and yelled until we told her that was enough. Most of the time she was cheering for the opposite team than I was.
