Smile for the Camera!

This is Rachel and myself trying to get a picture. Yes I was a little bored but wanted to see how Rachel would react if we were both in the picture. I don't think it turned out to badly. Rachel's even smiling, BONUS! She's so quick that most of her pictures don't have her smiling.

Good Bye Duck!

I put Rachel down to bed and she had her duck in bed with her. She was adamant about having it in there with her the last couple of days. Well her duck had a hole that I hadn't gotten sewn up yet and she had taken just a few bits of stuffing out several times and the last time she did this I told her she wouldn't get her duck anymore it would go in the garbage. Well this is what I found the other night when I went in to check on her before I went to bed. I knew she had been upstairs not sleeping because I could hear her through the monitor. I thought she was just playing with her bear or Violet. Nope this is what was keeping her occupied.

This was part of the duck that was on the floor and not in her crib.

Check out all that stuffing and yes she is actually laying on the stuffing.

All that stuffing in her crib.

Another view of how much stuffing came out of the duck.

I carefully took it out of the crib and just put it on the floor until I had it all out of the crib. This is how much she got out of the duck. To my surprise there was still actually some stuffing left in it.

The duck is pretty thin. It had a really round belly but this duck is flat.
I did re-stuff the duck because I figured that would be the easiest way to get it out of her room. I didn't want her waking up in the morning to see it and then want to play some more with the stuffing. I haven't thrown it in the garbage yet but I have put it away so she can't see it until I sew it up.

My New Transportation

Scott really wanted to get a back pack carrier. So his coworkers all pooled together to get us a gift card to REI. This is what we bought with it. Rachel loves being packed around in this. Some days she stands by it and says "Ride". That of course is usually when Scott's gone to work. This was on General Conference Sunday that we decided to go for a family walk around the neighborhood.

More Popcorn Please

This little girl loves popcorn. We've given her cracker jacks but when you pop popcorn she likes to eat the whole bag. She really can eat the whole bag. I just don't know where her little belly puts it all. Rachel kind of goes through stages of what she wants as snacks so needless to say this month it's POPCORN.

Yum!! I like handfuls in my mouth at a time.

See how happy I am about my popcorn.
