Smarty Pants

So Rachel started having spelling tests this year at school.  This was the first test she took and she got a 100% on it.  She's our little smarty pants when it come to reading and spelling.

 She has never had a test score under 93% since doing the spelling words this year.

1st Spelling Test

Well we have a smarty pants on our hands.  This was the first time she ever had a spelling test.  Look at that score.  100% she did so good.  Most of the time she gets 100% unless she was going to quickly because she's trying to get done fast.  If she does miss any she is still usually in the 90 percentile.  No complaints there.

Reading Junie B Jones

I just had to record this because it's been so fun to watch Rachel learning to read.  She reads 102 words a minutes and is the fastest in her class.  She has come to love Junie B. Jones books and it's not unusual to hear her laughing like this as she reads.  It really makes you smile to watch her.

Snowflake Arrives

Snowflake the Elf arrived today.  She was later than normal but she got stuck in a snow storm.  Rachel was pretty sad she wasn't there so she made up for it by bringing Rachel an after school snack of a donut.

 Snowflake did a good job making it up to Rachel for being late.

 The letter says: Dear Rachel, I am so sorry I did not make it here before you went to school.  I heard you had some Christmas countdown ornaments and I wanted to get you some candy to go in them and got stuck in a snowstorm.  I am excited to be back this year and hope you enjoy your after school snack and have fun filling your ornaments.  Your Elf Friend Snowflake.

This was the candy she got to fill her ornaments with.  

*Side Note:  We filled the ornaments but she only did the count down for two days and then the rest just sat in her box with the candy still in them.
