Last Soccer Game

Well we missed two weeks in a row for Rachel's soccer but was there for the last game of the season.  She played pretty well this week.  She loves playing the goalie.  Several balls went passed her this time so we will have to work on that this summer.  I was glad it was over because I was tired of fighting with her to go out there to play.  We ended up having to hang something over her head so that she would actually go out there.
Waiting in line to practice dribbling and kicking into the goal.
 Going for the ball.

Here she's looking at me like really do I have to run after that ball.  She really didn't want to play unless she was the goalie.  Goalies get to kick the ball more often then anything else in this league.

Rachel getting her trophy from her coach.

She was so excited about her trophy she had to come home and call everyone to tell them about it.  We even did facetime to Grandma Tracy and Grandpa Pooh so she could show them.

I was trying to get her to hold the picture but I got the envelope with the picture in it instead.  Guess that's better than nothing.  They also all got cupcakes for their snacks for that game.

So here is their team pictures.  This wasn't all the kids and this is the assistant coach not the head coach.  They had a specific day and if you weren't there you weren't there.  I wished the lady taking the pictures had also had them turn around so they weren't looking into the sun.  As you can tell several of them including Rachel was having a hard time looking at the camera because of the sun.

Swimming Lessons

These pictures are from the 1st day of swimming this year.  Rachel got to move to the group that is in the middle of the pool.  I was surprised they moved her.  She was so excited for swimming though.  She kept putting her face in the water at the beginning.  She has no fear of swimming so that's great.

She could hardly wait to get in.  I told her she could put her feet in the water but needed to wait for her teachers before she could get in.

Getting the pool rules at the beginning.  The 1st rule is no pottying in the pool.

Practicing her kicks.  She was trying to figure out that her legs need to go up and down not side to side.

Practicing floating on her back.  She doesn't like that one very much.  This is a great death grip on the shoulders of the teacher.

Going further out and she actually has her arms off the teacher.

Swimming with her face in the water.  She does this so good.  She comes up for a breath and then goes right back under.

Karen actually had her swimming on her own except the little bit of help on the back of the neck to get her to the side of the pool.  I was so impressed.

Colby's Baptism

Right after preschool graduation we headed to Pocatello.  We spent the night at my parents so that we were closer to Logan to go to Colby's baptism.  We got there a little bit before so the kids could practice their song together.  I was so impressed that Rachel had learned the words to the song baptism.  She actually calls it the Rainbow Song.  We had issues with her sitting still during the program.  I even gave her my Ipad to use but after they sang she ended up out in the hallway.  After the baptism we waited in the Relief Society Room.  As we waited I noticed the Bishopric member was a guy I had gone to school with.  Rachel wanted to sit by Bopsie and so I got a picture of her holding his and my hands.  So cute.
After the confirmation I talked with Chris Harreld(the bishopric member I knew) and then we headed back to Amber's apartment to eat lunch.  It was a great spread of sandwiches on such a hot day.  We all took shelter in all the shade we could find.

Hanging in the shade.
After lunch the little ones got into the wagon and got wagon rides.  Grandma's turn to pull them.

Rachel wanted a turn pulling and she did pretty good but I would say she made it two or three squares before she was trying to get someone else to pull.  She is a silly girl.

After that it was Uncle Ty's turn to give them all rides.  Good thing Lexi is there to help push.

I had to laugh at this because Karlee got busted.  She was supposed to be heading into the bathroom but she was actually just sitting in this laundry basket instead pretending to hide.  We headed home around 3:00 so that we could make it home before we had the sun right in our eyes.
