Sick but with what?????

Yes this is the question we have been asking since Sunday.  Poor little Rachel just hasn't been her normal self.  It all started off hives on Sunday at church.  We thought she was having an allergic reaction to something she eat.  So we did the normal Benedryl to help with it.  The next day she actually ended up having a rash on her torso and that night ended up on her face.  We thought that maybe it was a spot Scott missed on her face so we weren't to concerned.  Then on Tuesday it moved to all over her arms and upper legs.  I noticed that her face was really broken out also and so I took her into the Dr.  He said he wouldn't be able to figure out what she is allergic to but could take a few weeks to get out of her system and just to keep doing what we have been doing.  We woke up and she started to complain about her teeth hurting which we thought was weird but really didn't think about it until Thursday when she woke up and really complained about her teeth.  We looked in the roof of her mouth and it looks like hamburger.  She also had a fever that is at 102.4.   Scott said he thought it was probably hand, foot, mouth disease.  We can't really tell because she has no spots on her hands or feet just the mouth issues.  So weird!!  We fought the fever all day and she started to act normal until today when she wouldn't take any medicine so I thought she was getting better but by the time I got home from running errands she was crying, lethargic and had an even worst fever.  This time it was 103.7.  So we finally talked her into taking her medicine and I took her to the bathroom to take a bath to help with the fever.  We will see what we wake up to tomorrow.  I'm hoping the fever finally breaks and she can start to feel better again.

Finally took the blanket off but just hanging on the couch.

See how sad and lethargic she is.  It was so hard to watch her feel like crap and not really being able to do anything for her except holding her.  Needless to say there was lots of cuddling the last few days.

do you think it's hand foot mouth disease? it is going around like wildfire in boise. there was a huge outbreak of it in our nursery. super scary!!! it's a horrible virus that really gets the kiddos down. i am sorry! i hope she gets better soon. it's so stressful for a momma to have a sick kid.
