My 1st Divinity Beaters

So during Christmas time my parents came to hang out with us for the holidays.  I asked my dad to make divinity.  I don't bake very often so when my dad finished he asked who wanted the beaters.  We said give one to Rachel.  So the following pictures are her enjoying her first divinity beaters.  Super funny to watch her while she tried so hard to get that beater cleaned.  She also loves divinity just to let everyone know.

I love her tongue sticking out on this one while she's trying to get the sticky off her face and finger.

 Yum this is really good.

How do I get to the middle of this thing?

Rachel's Accomplishments

So it's been awhile since I did this.  I was going to do it every month but yeah that doesn't always happen.  So some of the new things we have been seeing Rachel do.
1.  She knows her left and right (hands & feet)
2.  She can undress her self but most of the time doesn't want too (Kind of lazy that way.)
3.  Learned a new song called "Red Solo Cup" by Toby Keith.  Scott taught her this and thought it was funny.
4.  Has moved onto new movies...Anastasia, Peter Pan, Lady & the Tramp, and Tangled.
5.  She likes he new drumming music that Maureen gave her.  It's calming for her.
6.  We have graduated out of Infant Toddler.  YEAH
7.  She can recognize all the alphabet
8.  She can count to 15 without any help.
9.  She likes to dress up in her tutu and play Princess
10.  She likes to cook with Mommy

I might think of other things but right now this is all I can think about.  She is progressing so well and we are really excited about her accomplishments.

Music & Motion

So I decided to be brave and I took Rachel to the library for Music and Motion.  I thought since she loves music so much she would totally love this class.  Well we got there a little bit early and she was having so much fun moving from one thing to another in their reading room that when the time came to go into the classroom for Music and Motion she really didn't want to go.  She of course didn't want to sit up by the front and started to run all over the place.  I was trying to get her to sit and she got mad because she wanted to do what she wanted to do.  Finally she sat down in a corner and looked at all the boys in the class and said I'm not dancing with the boys.  I had to laugh because that's all she ever talks about with Nursery is the boys that are in there.  Eventually she finally started to dance once she figured out she didn't actually have to do what the boys were doing she could dance however she wanted too.  I might try taking her again but I'm going to make sure I show up around the time it's starting so I don't have to contend with her grumpiness of not playing with the other toys.  This is the only picture I was able to get of her participating with my cell phone.

She's actually buzzing around like a bee in this picture.

1st Snow Fall in Boise 2012

Its been a really slow snow year this year in Boise.  We have had tons and tons of rain but no snow.  Finally today was the first day we actually had a snow that we could talk about.  Rachel has been praying to Heavenly Father for snow. It's so cute how she says it...."Heavenly Father I need more snow".  So CUTE!  We hurried and got Rachel in her snow clothes and headed outside.  She didn't like her mittens because she couldn't pick up anything and so she took them off.  Her hands of course got cold and it wasn't long after that when she was ready to come back into the house.  She cried until I got her hands warmed up.  Here is some of the fun we had this day with the snow.

Look at that winter wonderland.  We don't get 6 inches of snow very often in Boise.

Yeah dad's cleared off the driveway so I can drive my car.

You can tell that she loves it.  Having fun driving her car.

Scott had lots of snow to move out away from the the bottom of the driveway.  Unfortunately it was actually all gone by that night because about two hours after Scott finished plowing the rain started and that was the end of the snow.

This is what it looked like almost exactly 24 hours later.  All that snow gone and puddles and puddles of water every where.  The drains couldn't keep up with all the water.  So SAD :-(
